Sleep by Design: Use Human Design to help you sleep
Human Design is the brainchild of Ra Uru Hu who 'downloaded' the information and birthed it into the world in 1992, so it's pretty new. Since then, it's gradually gained a lot of interest and it's due to take over from our traditional astrology as we head into this new era.
The Human Design experiment is designed to be just that. An experiment is something to be tried and tested. It requires interaction. If you interact with it and it works for you, then you carry on. If you interact with it and it doesn't feel right, go back to your way. Just at least give it a try!
Your human design profile is completely unique and based on where the planets are when you are born, and 3 months before you are born. This is said to be when your soul lands in your body. It is based upon 4 well known, ancient systems. The i-ching, the kaballah tree of life, the chakra system and vedic astrology.

Manifestors
As a Manifestor, you have an undefined sacral within your design. This means you will need to slowly wind down before bed, creating peace hours before you intend to actually go to bed, unlike others who might be able to switch off a little more easily...
Cut out;
Evening workouts and replace them with yin, nidra or restorative styles of yoga
Begin to create;
An evening routine that is slow and steady, focussing on the one word of peace. How can you create more peace in your evening routine?
Manifesting Generators
As a Manifesting Generator, you have a defined sacral within your design. This means you will need to burn off all your energy before you can even think about sleep... and you may need a little less than some of the other types.
Cut out;
Rigid routines and limiting bedtime rituals and let yourself be more creative with your evening routine instead... maybe one night you journal, one night you do yoga, one night you watch a movie... variety is the spice of life!
Begin to create;
A way to burn off all your physical energy through the day, but try to keep workouts to morning or afternoon to help keep your circadian rhythm
Generators
As a Generator, you have a defined sacral within your design. This means, like with MGs, you will need to burn off all your energy before you can even think about sleep... and you may need a little less than some of the other types. The main difference really compared to Manifesting Generators is that you will likely favour more consistency in your routine once you find it.
Cut out;
Too much chopping and changing of your routine. Once you find what works for you, stick to it. It doesn’t need changing all the time. Find it and keep to it.
Begin to create;
Consistency in your nighttime routine
Projectors
As a Projector, you have an undefined sacral within your design. This means, like with Manifestors, you will need to slowly wind down before bed, creating peace hours before you intend to actually go to bed... you may also want to consider sleeping alone or in beds that separate as you’re super sensitive to Generator and MG sacral energy which might prevent you from sleeping...
Cut out;
Intense workouts in your day, especially in the evening... yin, restorative yoga or mindfulness/meditation, or even something like slow reformer pilates or weights will suit your energy much better that cardio, especially before bed
Begin to create;
Time away from people before bed, time off your phone, not responding, and just feeling into your own energy, following what you need in that moment
Reflectors
As a Reflector, you have an undefined sacral within your design. This means, like with Manifestors, and Projectors, you will need to slowly wind down before bed, creating peace hours before you intend to actually go to bed... you may also want to consider sleeping alone or in beds that separate as you’re super sensitive to Generator and MG sacral energy which might prevent you from sleeping... the advice for your energy type is therefore very similar!
Cut out;
Intense workouts in your day, especially in the evening... yin, restorative yoga or mindfulness/meditation, or even something like slow reformer pilates will suit your energy much better especially before bed

Your sanctuary - the correct environment is ALWAYS important for Reflectors especially. Is your bedroom helping you sleep, or does it need a re-jig?
